Samsung Galaxy S8 Online Campaign
Background
Samsung Galaxy S8 was the most anticipated and important product launch for Samsung to date. After having several critical incidents with Note 7, Samsung needed to comeback with a product that would win back people's heart. R/GA was responsible for TV commercial (The Mill for production), experiential marketing (Timesquare, Highline, Oculus takeover), e-commerce site and online campaign for Galaxy S8 launch.
Role
I was brought in as a freelance designer to design online campaigns for pre launch, launch and post launch. I've designed 5 key visual driven units, 10 programmatic units and 5 TV commercial units highlighting Galaxy S8's feature sets. In addition, I designed page takeovers for NY Times, Youtube, ESPN, Mashable, CNN, Billboards among many more publishers. Moreover, I was responsible for creating presentation decks for client meetings.
Result
Since the launch of the product, S8 and S8 plus have sold over 5 million units in USA, Canada and South Korea. The phone received rave reviews by critics and devices are expected to be sold over 50 million units this year.
